In a Blog Post, Facebook stated that “We know that people on Android love interacting with live videos —more than 50% of people watching live videos are using Android devices. We’re excited to announce that in the next week we are going to start rolling out the ability for people on Android to share live video. We’re starting our Android rollout in the U.S., with more countries coming soon”.
Earlier, Facebook Live Video Broadcasting came to iOS in January and supported more than 30 countries and is expected to come in other countries too.
You might have seen celebrities or other verified Facebook Pages share live videos in order to connect with their Fans. It lets the user to broadcast live videos with their family or friends. This Live Feature was introduced in the year 2015 and was only accessible by celebrities having verified pages.
To access this feature, users need to tap a button “What’s on your mind?” in the Facebook App, and choose Live Video option.
